Quiet Day

We enjoyed a sunny day today, even if it only made it to 40 degrees. No complaints, but I think we are going to have some more rainy weather over the weekend. Again, I won't complain. The rain will help wash away all the dirty yucky snow that is piled up along the roadways.

It hasn't been very busy at work the last couple of days so the time has dragged on somewhat. This is my short week, however, and I will certainly enjoy the next three days off. I want to get my taxes done this weekend, in fact, I am going to make an appointment right now before it gets too late. OK that's taken care of, 9:00 tomorrow morning.

I finally was able to get in touch with the Vet yesterday and Hunter is not going to have to take Supplemental medicine for his thyroid. What a relief that is. I know that medication would have to be administered daily and it can get quite expensive. They are going to keep an eye on his thyroid but the additional blood work has come back with normal results so that's one less thing I have to worry about. He's adapting quite well to his blindness and seems to be healthy otherwise. He's so darn lovable, it would kill me to see him sick or suffering in any way.

I'm getting hungry so I suppose I should fix something to eat. There are plenty of leftovers in the fridge, and I don't even have to get groceries this week. Sorry about the short post. I guess I don't have that much to blog about today and I am kind of boring myself. LOL Have a great evening!

Hey no worries on the short post. Shoot some of us havent even really posted in days....*looks really guilty*. Not that there isnt alot to talk about right now, but just not enough energy to get it all down in writing. Sometimes, though, there just simply isnt enough to warrant sitting down to do one.

Glad Hunter is doing better and really glad he wont need the medicine every day. Nothing like trying to get a fur-baby to take the meds (unless it tastes good to them like the heartworm preventative pills our dog is on...she takes those willingly).

It was nice here today...mid 40's with mostly sunny skies. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow night switching over to snow showers. :\

Good to hear your news about Hunter. Sounds like he's doing just fine.

I hope you enjoy your days off from work. (come into the chat room for a visit or two if you have some time) *hugs*

Tonight is dinner with Eric and Jessie and tomorrow night is dinner with Nicole and Matt. I am a little nervous about meeting Nicole. Hopefully I won't do something stupid like drop the butter knife.

I will pop into chat to say hi, I promise.

You will be just fine meeting Nicole. *hugs* (and i doubt if they'll even notice if you drop the butter knife)

Dropping the butter on the other hand... they might notice that... and here is a very top secret tip to avoid doing that...

...ask for margerine.

It was SO nice seeing you in chat tonight! I'm glad dinner went well, I'm sure Nicole will love you!

I'm glad Hunter is adjusting well, and that you won't have to give him medication every day. I know how expensive that can be. It's amazing how close to our animals we get, calling them our "kids" and such. We get so protective of them.

if George wasn't absolutely sure they would love you he wouldn't have planned the dinner. You've got it made!
