...just thinking

I know it has been awhile and some of you are probably just now picking yourselves up off the floor after seeing a new post listed. Sorry about that, just not a whole lot of anything interesting to blog about. There isn't a whole lot to talk about today either, but I have a couple of minutes while I sit here at my desk at work. There isn't much to do around here these days either. We completed an order yesterday this isn't due to ship until June 26th and we are about a week ahead of schedule on July's order, but that's ok because the company is contemplating shutting down for a week in July and if that happens we will still be on track for the month. Orders and work has been slow in most areas of the company and they have laid off about 150 people in the last month. I am thankful to have a job so I do very little complaining. I really don't want to be on the outside looking in right now. I think I would have to go in a completely different area if that happens because manufacturing these days is just not the place to hope to get hired. That had me thinking about what I would like to do given a chance to be retrained/educated in another field and I had a hard time coming up with something. I think I would probably like to get back into child care, but not run my own business like I did many years ago.. I would have to go back to school and get certified, which wouldn't be a bad idea. But then I got to thinking about how wiped out Callissa and Alex got me a few weekends ago and maybe that wouldn't be a good idea. I think I need something a little more quiet and sedate. I know, I could get a job proof reading manuscripts and other creative writings. Or being a movie critic...yeah I would like that. How about a taste tester for a chef writing cookbooks? LOL
OK so I guess I really have very little ambition and maybe I had better get off this computer and get busy doing something I actually get paid for doing.
Have a great day everyone. I hope the sun is shining where you are.

The sun is shining where I am at the moment, but we're due for some heavy rains later today, tonight, and tomorrow. I bet they might even be headed off in your direction after they leave us. (sorry 'bout that)

Yeah, I don't think I could handle child care myself. Ryan tires me out and he's just one little guy.

I'm glad you posted a little to let us know how you are. We wonder, you know. :)

Hope you have a good day. *hugs*

Someone must read all those manuscripts for new books and movies... and there is a need for someone to edit blogs! LOL I've seen some "chat-room" like spelling and grammar that makes me cringe.

Hey, if you find that kitchen taste tester job, please! please! let me know where to apply!

Sunshine here at the moment. As the old saying goes "it's hot and shitty" (or something like that).

At some point in time it does become hard to reinvent ones self.

If you still like working with kids, though - go for it! I'll bet your body would catch up to the task after doing it awhile. I figure the reason the kids wear me out is that I'm out of shape!

It's always hot and sunny here..until night..then the storms sneak in and the winds howl. Next morning it's sunshine lollipops and rainbows!

Childcare..I could never do that! I don't have the patient with other ppls children. and I hate critics easy..just watch the movie from yesteryear or watch an old sitcom/drama on TV. Writers in Hollywood have no imagination anymore.

A proof reader job would be good. Possibly something that can be done in the comfort of your own home....

*HUGZ* Glad to see you're still around. We were missing you.

Glad to see you're still around.

I'm sure - if push came to shove - you could turn your hand to most things.
