OMG It's already halfway thru December

Lordy, it's been a long time since I've posted anything. Sorry about that. I've been working a lot and trying to get my shopping done, which should be done by this weekend. I drive right by the Mall on my way home from work but I am usually too tired to even think about shopping. I am working on Saturday but only in the morning so I will stop after work and finish up.

We found out today that we are definitely going to be off work from December 22-January2. Most of those days are paid holidays, so I will only have to use 2 of my vacation days to be able to enjoy a nice 11 day break. Aside from Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's, I have no plans yet for those wonderful days off. Right now all I can think of is how wonderful it will be to be able to sleep in for several days in a row.

Today, my best friend Rose had her last chemo treatment. She has tolerated the last three treatments rather well and has experienced the normal side effects, fatigue, loss of appetite and some nausea. Thanksgiving Day she started to lose her beautiful hair and now is sporting a cute tennis ball looking head. She carries off the G I Jane look rather well, I have to say. She's been in very good spirits all things considered. Hang in there Rosie...it's almost over. Thanks everyone for all of your prayers.

I hope you all are having a good December. Time for me to make some dinner.

I hope you enjoy your time off because you sure deserve it after the hours you've worked.

I'm glad to hear your friend is managing to keep her spirits up. I understand that's part of the battle. I wish her well.

You got that right Kerry...I can hardly wait til Sunday!

Thanks AliceKay for your well wishes. I appreciate them as does Rose. I've told her she's got lil angels all over the world praying for her ;-)
As for my time off...I will enjoy every minute of it even if most of my time is spent hanging around the house. There's plenty to do around here so I won't be bored. I am also hoping some of the books on my Christmas list make it under my tree.
