A Mid Week Post

I think Spring is finally here in the northern part of the country. I say this because even with prescription allergy medication, I am still suffering from hay fever/allergies. I can be driving along in my car perfectly fine then all of a sudden, the nose starts itching and my eyes will water. I often look like I've received some really bad news and can't stop crying. Yesterday was one of those days where I would be reduced to 'tears' in a flash. This morning, my eyes are a bit red and sore but so far, no waterworks. Of course, it is early and the allergens that cause me such problems are probably still asleep.

I have noticed that Hunter has been shedding his winter coat as well. He doesn't shed much but I've been finding a lot more white doggie hairs all over my clothes and the sofa. I wish I could just take the vaccuum cleaner hose to him but he isn't real fond of the vaccuum cleaner. The good thing is the shedding only lasts a week or two and usually a good bath will help so I think the ole poochie will be seeing the tub real soon.

All of the snow in our back yard is finally gone. I noticed that last Wednesday when I was out on the deck, the last stubborn patch was down to about the size of a snowball. Yesterday the Fish and Game announced the "Ice Out" on Lake Winni too...which is cause for celebration up here. Simply put, it means the entire lake is now free of any ice and the Mt. Washington boat can make it's way all around the lake with no issues. Let the Summer begin!

It's been a busy couple of weeks for my family with the wedding and all of those festivities, Easter and a few more birthdays to finish off the month. On Sunday, my parents celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary. Monday is Mom's 79th birthday and Tuesday is Sara's 24th birthday. I think that should do it until May when we start all over again.

On an interesting side note, next month George's cousin will be ordained a Bishop in the Catholic Church. We got the news yesterday that he will have his ordination ceremony in Quebec City. If we can get tickets to the event, we will go. It's very exciting! I suppose I had better clean up my mouth so I don't embarrass anyone. LOL

That's about it for now. I really should be getting back to work.

Have a wonderful day!

Have you thought about going and getting tested for your allergies. See if they can nail down the specific ones?

Oh I've been tested...and I am allergic to most everything. Actually the list of things I am NOT allergic to is much shorter than the ones I am allergic to. Yesterday was bad because of the wind blowing all the pollen around. Today seems to be better. :-)

Glad the weather is warming up with you, and the snow is going away. It's just a shame this means big alergy problems for you.

Happy anniversary and birthday to those celebrating this month. :)

I was thinking about Styies comment before I read on... and got this picture of the two of you on chairs at a beauty salon under hair dryers with one nekkid arm hanging out while you are reading the mags and listening in on the gossip. Sorry. I can't help myself.

Hope you enjoy the Spring flowers and colors anyway, Lainie.

Someday I'm gonna ride that boat around Lake "Winnie".

I've been on that boat around Lake Winni and it was beautiful...the first week of October with the fall foliage looking so pretty. :)

My allergies have been flaring up, too, and I know exactly what you mean. Yesterday, it felt like I had a feather at my nose most of the day, and today my sinuses are all clogged up. I hope you're able to enjoy some of the spring days you'll be having.

My parents' anniversary is today, and they've been married for either 57 or 58 years. I kinda lost track. (oops) Best wishes to your parents!

That's great news about George's cousin's ordination as a Bishop in the Church. What a wonderful accomplishment. Maybe one day he'll be known as Pope. :)

Hope the rest of your week is a good one. *hugs*

I wish it felt more like Spring here. With temps hovering in the low to mid 40's, Spring is really holding back on us.

Happy Anniversary to your parents, Happy Birthday to your mom and Sara, and congratulations to George's cousin. Go to confession right before, you'll be all clean for the trip. LOL

I'll take the allergies just to be rid of winter.
That is quite an accomplishment for George's cousin. Try not to fall when you genuflect. I just hate it when that happens myself...

I have to GENUFLECT????? I was contemplating the confession thing but I have to genuflect??? This could end badly.
*Rethinks wearing a dress that day.*

Thank God I don't have much of an allergy problem. It will be okay...pollen will stabilize soon..then you'll be alright until fall.

okay emmm I'm not catholic so what the heck is genuflect?

lol Karla. Genuflecting is bending down on one knee. Catholics do it as a sign of reverence. Most genuflect as they get ready to go into the church pew the first time they enter.
